This little family owned fish and chips take was re opened about three years ago in Northwood. Owned by a Turkish family they have chosen to serve mostly halal foods, that being said the only non halal items are the pies which are oven cooked and in packets and do not contaminated any of the other foods.

The fish here fresh and cooked with traditional large fryers to produce a nice crispy batter. The chips are also done using potato chippers so no frozen or packets chips here. When it comes to battered fish and how its tastes the cooking process can make all the difference, oil temperature, quality and cleanliness of oil, batter recipe and of course the quality and freshness of the fish. Atis fish is good, not the best Ive had, The best fish I had would probably be in Bournemouth and Torquey. (I’ll review at some point)

They also have a range of other halal items such as saveloy sausages, chicken and beef burgers, nuggets, roast chicken as well as the standard fish shop sides like mushy pee’s, pineapple rings, gherkins etc
The chicken is prepared in house but the sausages, burgers and other processed items I presume are bought and are the usual fish shop standard and can not be compared to gourmet burgers and grilled chicken and so on.
This is a nice friendly joint with fresh food, also very clean and well priced.
