This great little establishment is on Charlotte Street, very close to Tottenham Court Road (Central London) They have some seating inside. The menu basically consists of Pide and Lahmacun, which are traditional dough/pizza style foods with various toppings/fillings, all cooked in a proper slide in clay oven.

And on to the food…
I got one starter which was the wings and chose the “Hotter (Crazy)” flavour, as you know in many places the names are sound hotter than the actual food, specially in more mainstream locations, BUT was I wrong or what, these wings were seriously hot, my lips became numb and I could not eat more than one. They were nice wings, good chicken and cooked well but next time I will get the non-crazy flavour.

From the main menu I ordered the “Chicken & Halloumi Pide” £8.50 and the “Trabzon Lamb Pide” £8.50, which is tender lamb with Kasar cheese. I must admit both were absolutely delicious, I have tried pide in a few places and this is up there with the best, the meats were seasoned well, and surrounded by ingredients that complimented each other perfectly all held together with the cheese and the fresh baked dough either under or around. I ended up getting the same two as a take away too.
These dishes are sometimes and even by themselves called Turkish pizza, but to me it does not feel like having a pizza, the fillings and topping are more complex in flavour than pizza toppings and the dough is more like delicious fresh baked bread, the lahmacun’s on the other hand may be flat and round like a pizza but are very thin and taste great rolled up like a wrap.

All the food are halal, and there are a few others which I am looking forward to try like the Pide with rump steak. The seating is limited. No alcohol is served here and there are a a few imported soft drinks from Turkey available.
